Our Wet Adventure

Today is Miss S's first birthday party. Well, party o1/2. We have to have multiple birthday parties every year because my mom suffers from MCS and my mother in law comes from a VERY big family. Just not a good combo.

We're having a BBQ, since Miss S loves food... especially hamburgers, watermelon, and cake. Last night I asked Hubby to clean the grill so it'll be ready. He gets a great idea to stick the grill wracks in the dishwasher. Now, Hubby did not grow up with a dishwasher like I did. I directed him on the proper loading techniques and showed him where the soap was. He asked why he couldn't just use Dawn. I explained the differance between dishwashing liquid and dishwasher liquid. Turns out he didn't listen well. Less than an hour later, I went into the kitchen for ice cream and the entire kitchen floor was nothing but bubbles. I had heard stories like this, but certainly didn't expect to see 2 inches of water and bubbles covering the entire floor. It just kept coming, too! The dishwasher was done, but the water kept pouring out. As soon as we'd wipe it up, there'd be more waiting for us. Hubby made a joke that at least the floor will be clean for the party.

I hate the smell of wet towels. Positively can't stand it. To avoid this, I threw all the wet towels in the washing machine. Turns out I overloaded it. More water and bubbles on the floor.

In the words of Adam West as Batman- "Somedays you just can't get rid of a bomb."
