Today's Celebration- the kitchen is done! well, done enough. i am so pleased with how it turned out! even the floor replacement went smoothly. granted, it's far from perfect. however, when we have the time and materials, it will be easy to make it perfect. doing dishes makes sense. cook the food. pile the dirty dishes to the right. then moving right, we rinse and insert into dishwasher. when the washer is done, we stand to the right and put the dishes away to the right. the kitchen finally flows and makes sense! putting dishes away is easy because you can see where everything goes! but wait, there's more! my removing the counter/island and installing my cubical shelf system, i store everything in a quarter of the space which increases the kitchen's square footage exponentially. why yes, i am a storage goddess. the only thing that bugs me is- where on earth did we get so many cups and glasses?!?!
Today's Resentment- massive poop! mason, margaret, and susan are in the bath. margaret gets out to go poop. susan gets out to poop. mason gets out cuz the girls are out. susan suddenly explodes poop everywhere. it hits the wall, the toilet, the floor, down her legs, mason's legs, mason's hair, and in his mouth. so of course, he then throws up. i hosed the kids down and while i was scraping poop off the wall, i couldn't help but wonder if this was what it would be like if "shi* hit the fan." ironically, after clean up, alan and i sat down to watch mythbusters. the myth they were busting was poop hitting the fan. and yes, it is plausible.
